A++ Interpreter

Welcome to the A++ Interpreter Demo and to the Download Section!

This demo allows visitors of this site to watch the A++ Interpreter at work and to study the source code of the demonstration programs.

To protect the integrity and efficiency of the multi-domain server however, it is not possible to load and execute any A++ code. Visitors interested in working with A++ on their own may download three versions of the interpreter and install them on their computers:

• Command line version of the A++ Interpreter implemented in C
• Command line version of the A++ Interpreter implemented in Perl
• WEB-based version of the A++ Interpreter implemented in Perl (CGI)

The interpreter used with this demo corresponds to the third in the list above with the exception that user input is taken from a predefined set of url's.

Three demos are provided:

• A++ Test Suite to test out the main features of the language

• The second demo program demonstrates the use of object oriented programming in A++ as well as the application of closures and lists using an animal shelter simulation.

• The last demo illustrates the features of A++ in a slightly more complex application simulating the basic administration of a library.
